Troop 730
Welcome! This is the official Troop 730 website. Our troop likes to go hiking,
backpacking, kayaking, white water rafting, and even rock climbing. We encourage all
interested boys to come and check us out!
Meetings
Troop 730 meets at St. Matthews United Methodist Church. It is located on 1360 S. Wendy Drive in Newbury Park. We meet at 7:30 every Tuesday night.

History of Troop 730
Troop 730 was established in Newbury Park in 1967. The troop celebrated
its 35th Anniversary in 2003. Currently, we are sponsored by St. Matthew's United
Methodist Church. Since its founding of over 35 years ago, Troop 730 has seen the
involvement of more than 1,000 Scouts and Scouters. The Troop has also been the nest for
over 80 Eagle Scouts. Two reasons for our longevity and success have been the
capable leadership throughout the years and a commitment to following the National Boy
Scout policies of a boy run troop. See troop bylaws here.
